www.marinakimart.co.uk is now the catalogue of my art works. You can use the navigation on the left to browse my art by category. I'll be adding any new pieces at the top of the page in each category, so that you will see that first. A large portion of my work is portraiture. This is the genre of visual arts in which my talent, skill and passion find their most creative outlet! Visit the gallery of my portraits. If you wish to commission a portrait by me and don't know where to start, visit the portrait commission FAQ page, or a guide to portrait commissions. www.marinakimart.com is my blog, where I post news about my work and my thoughts on art. As well as that, I post there some technical information on some of the fine art printmaking techniques. I work in various media, including mezzotint, etching, dry point, monoprint, linocut... I specialise in mezzotint, finding this type of original print most suited for my style.

Printocrats is my new joint venture - an ebay shop which
specialises in original prints. I would like to emphasise that
original printmaking is a branch of the fine arts and is not a
reproduction method. There is a lot of confusion in this area due to
the term "print" which is common to both - original printmaking
techniques and mechanised reproduction processes. The definition
"original print" does not apply to reproduction methods.
Examples of original printmaking techniques: etching, engraving, mezzotint, aquatint, woodblock, linocut... Examples of reproduction: poster, giclee... The ROCHE gallery is the art gallery my husband Tim Roche and I own and run. It mostly shows my own art works. Few times a year we have special events, devoted to the works of art we love, or providing space for chosen artists and art curators. Click on the link to learn about the current and forthcoming events. |
